Principal Properties

HS-9892 is a solution of saturated polyester in styrene, used as a low-shrinkage additive for SMC/BMC. It offers excellent low-shrinkage performance, enabling products to achieve zero shrinkage, significantly improving surface smoothness and glossiness. When used with resins such as HS-1500, it can achieve an A-grade surface finish. Its relatively low viscosity aids in increasing the filler loading rate in the formulation system. HS-9892 has limited coloring performance; please confirm before selection. It is widely used in general SMC/BMC products in electrical, industrial, residential, and automotive applications.

Application

HS-9892 is intended for low shrink SMC and BMC formulations with good surface quality. Depending on the choice and the ratio of UP-resin and high polymer, low shrinkage up to zero shrinkage can be achieved. The formulation can readily thickened with magnesium oxide. Its pigmenting property is limited. Recommended for the productions of electrics applications, automotive parts and etc.

Storage & Transportation:

Transportation must comply with Chapter 5 of the State Council's "Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals" regarding the transportation and handling of hazardous chemicals. The product should be stored in a cool place below 25°C, away from fire, isolated from heat sources, and sealed to prevent moisture ingress and monomer volatilization. The shelf life is 6 months when stored below 25°C.
